Here is the extra credit opportunity for 3rd Term. It is the same assignment for all classes. Follow the directions. Use your own words and don't just cut and paste stuff from the internet. Use your own brain!!
Do an internet search on one of the following mathematicians. Write a one page list of facts you learned about this person. The list may be in bullet form or in paragraph form, but either way you need to write in complete sentences. Your reports must be neat, thought-out, and not plagiarized. Include the Internet site(s) you used.
What to write about? Find out about this person's life, why this person is important, and what contributions they made to mathematics.
- Descartes, Rene
- Euler, Leonhard
- Euclid of Alexandria
- Hypatia of Alexandria
- Mandelbrot, Benoit
- Newton, Sir Isaac
- Nightingale, Florence
- Riemann, G F Bernhard
- Pythagoras
- Nicomedes
- Thales
- Bacon, Clara

Each mathematician report is worth up to 10 points. You may do a maximum of 3 reports. All reports are due by Tuesday, March 25th. No Exceptions. You may e-mail your reports to me if you'd like: hbinggeli@tooelesd.org

You are a very good teacher. Do you have a counter on your site to see how many students look at it but don't comment?
